Our Ethiopian Natural offering comes from one of the highest growing elevations in Ethiopia. The SCFCU is a Cooperative Union which supports the Cooperatives in the Sidama region through education programs, exportation assistance, buyer/producer connections as well as infrastructure. They have even used their Fair Trade Premiums to provide farmers with access to electricity for lighting to replace gas lamps.

Under the umbrella of the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU), the Telamo cooperative consistently produces high quality coffee. The Telamo Cooperative owns 4 washing stations and 1 natural processing unit, which is where our offering comes from. This Fair Trade offering is also sourced from family owned farms within the Telamo Coop. As this is a natural processed coffee, it offers blueberry, stonefruit and floral notes with a bright acidity.

Heirloom and Indigenous varietals from Ethiopia often prove to have exceptional fruit notes because of the natural processing of the coffee. The Halo Bariti Coop was once part of the Worka Cooperative, but split off and formed in 2012. This coffee presents plenty of fruit and floral notes in the cup, and wonderful citrus and berry aromas.
